George Jones, paralegal
George is a certified paralegal by the North Carolina State Bar.  He has been working with the practice since 2002. George’s main responsibility is obtaining documents from public registry for attorney review.  He updates title and recording documents with the Register of Deeds, which is a crucial, imperative process for any real estate closing. Because his job is most efficiently handled on location, George spends most of his time at the downtown Wake County court house, as well as at neighboring county courthouses.  His expertise and tenacity for getting things done right the first time is essential to meet the high standards set by Stevens & Hand.  He reports directly to the attorneys, and they frequently ask him to go above and beyond to research specific, less obvious details in the best interest of clients. He is best described as the firm’s “arms, legs, and eyes at the court house.”  George received his associates degree in paralegal technology from Johnston Community College.
